Singles and Doubles Meeting Minutes
Here is a summary of the meeting minutes from last night, as there was a little bit more business than just the Singles and Doubles.
Dave Brady has resigned from the committee. Greg Horabin has been voted onto the committee in Dave's place.
The committee has had complaints regarding sportsmanship in matches, particularly over the top celebrations of wins. We all like to to enjoy winning, but having the fact that you lost shouted in your face can feel a little aggressive. Let's all try to remember that this supposed to be a friendly game, and act according.
There has been a complaint about a table made to the committee. The matter is in question is in had. But, again, can everyone remember that it is in the league constitution that tables should be in a fit state to play on. If you are having difficulties with your table which are out of your control, e.g. your landlord won't listen, then please come to the committee, we are willing to help you with your landlord to resolve the situation.
No shows at last night's meeting were: Queens, Working Mens, and the Rossall Tavern. There will be £10 fines issued for non-attendance of the meeting.
Correction: These teams will be able to enter players and doubles in the competition, providing that they attend the meeting on the 7th of November. Failure to do so will mean that no players from these teams will be allowed to enter the singles or doubles. The decision of the committee is final in this, and there will be no exceptions.
